January 3, 2020

Throughout my three decades, I have gone through different phases. When I went to Bengaluru to start my career, I lived alone, and it was a pleasant feeling. I learned that silence is what I prefer the most. I loved it so much that when I planned to move back to Chandigarh, a regular conversation with family members gave me a headache. I am thinking about the past, as I may consider moving again to a big city. However, as of now, I am not sure.

I feel exhausted lately due to a few external reasons and many internal reasons. There are times when I know something is wrong in my behavior, but I am not able to pinpoint what exactly is wrong. For example, there are specific triggers which may result in anger outburst. I read a blog post today on destructive behaviors on the Harvard Business Review website. The author shared an approach that may help improve my behavior.

As per the suggestions shared by the author, I need to write about incidents that happened during the formative years. Well, there are many, but I am finding it confusing which one to write first, but I’ll give it a try.

I was born in an Indian family with conservative values. The world created by my parents for me is different than what happens actually. One can understand that it was for my good. Little things like don’t talk to strangers, don’t go out after dark, the role of a woman in a household and society, a woman shouldn’t wear short clothes, etc. I guess many can be related to what I mean by conservative.

I guess that’s enough ranting for one day.

It’s challenging to establish a business. I am trying to make time for my Digital Commerce Insights website but not able to do so lately. But, I have to keep the engine running somehow. Therefore, I am trying to hire a freelance writer. I hope to find a writer (who can write well) soon as I want to see decent statistics on Google Analytics. As of now, my business website receives 150 visitors on an average every month, and I hope to grow that number exponentially.

While working on an old blog post today, I found three different IT companies that have copied the content. I have noticed this issue several times over the past few years. As a web content writer and a digital marketer, I can tell that there is no improvement in ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs) after copying the content. A prospect who is trying to gain information on a specific topic might visit the original blog post as well as the copied blog post. What about the impact on branding after that? 😉
